If you do not live in California, then visit the main 501st Legion Website to find the garrison nearest you.

After determining the appropriate garrison, follow the Membership Application instructions on the 501st Legion Website.

There are two requirements to become a 501st Legion member:

1) You must personally own a high quality (movie accurate or better) Imperial Star Wars costume and be willing to participate in public events and other activities.

2) You must be at least 18 years of age. (Sorry, this is a legal issue. There are no exceptions to this requirement.)

The Golden Gate Garrison covers all of Northern California, but most members are primarily located in and around the San Francisco Bay Area.

Our main form of communicating is via the Message Forum. This is a closed list, so you must be a Garrison member to access the members section. However, there is a section of our discussion forum that is open to the public. Feel free to post any questions or comments regarding the Golden Gate Garrison or 501st Legion there. You may also with any questions that you might have.
