| Model : TX-203 Advanced Scout Tank Manufacturer : Kuat Drive Yards Propulsion : Repulsorlift Power type : Fuel cell Crew : Four + one R2-Q5 Astromech Droid Weapons : Two side-mounted fixed turbo lasers; Two rotating and one fixed light repeating blaster; One mounted DLT-19 blaster Defense : Heavy Durasteel armored hull, standard medium deflector shield Development : The larger cargo capacity and heavier firepower of the TX-203 replaced the Rothana Heavy Engineering TX-130T Fighter Tank During the rise of the Galactic Empire, the need for a tank with more firepower and more cargo and crew capacity than the existing TX-130T resulted in the development of the TX-203. Often deployed for longer durations than the fighter tank, the TX-203 was used primarily in the search for rebel occupation in the Outer Rim Territories. The newly formed Rebel Alliance did not have the resources to heavily fortify the entry points to their bases; relying instead on camouflaged entrances to hide their location. As soon as the reconnaissance squad would locate the hidden entrance, the TX-203 would assault the entry point with its side mounted turbo-lasers, often sealing the rebels in their base. The reconnaissance squad would then call in heavy re-enforcements, which included modified mining equipment and seismic tanks to finish the attack.
