How to join the Galactic Empire

Do you have a passion for Star Wars and helping others? Do you own a professional-quality costume based on “bad guy” characters from Star Wars? Are you at least 18 years old? If you answered yes to these questions, then you’re a potential candidate for the 501st Legion and Golden Gate Garrison.

Choose your costume

First, decide on the Imperial costume you’d like to become. Having trouble deciding? View a list of costumes to see what’s out there.

Once you’ve chosen your character, join the appropriate detachment and it’s forum and research about the costume. The various detachments provide a wealth of resources including sources, build threads, and expert advice.

Complete your costume

Once you’ve completed your costume, double check that it’s in line with the current Costume Reference Library (CRL).

The Imperial Soldier

  • METTLE

    You will not flinch in the face of enemy fire, nor will you accept defeat. You will give your life to destroy the enemies of the Empire.

  • OBEDIENCE

    Obey orders, never question them. The chain of command exists for a reason. Without it, there is only chaos and ruin.

  • DISCIPLINE

    Keep your mind, body, and equipment in top shape. They will fail you if they are not maintained.

  • SELFLESSNESS

    You are not an individual. You are part of a unit. Whether it’s a squad or a sector army, you have a role to play within that unit.
